State Capital Region in Chhattisgarh – Rajnandgaon Included, ₹260 Cr Development Works in Bhilai

On 18th August 2025, Vishnudev Sai, the CM declared to create a State Capital Region (SCR) along the line of Delhi NCR. Rajnandgaon together with Raipur and Raipur Capital Region, Raipur, and Bhilai-Durg will form part of the SCR. Development works worth 260 crore rupees were also initiated in Bhilai by the CM who led the laying of foundation stones. A special body has been constituted by the government on SCR and the sole purpose is hitting up the hi-tech urban infrastructure and increasing the connectivity with Maharashtra.
