AIIMS Raipur has planned to introduce robotic surgery by 6 September 2025 making it the first government medical institute in Central India to provide such an advanced facility. First, it will include Uro Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and General Surgery. So far, only five privately owned hospitals performed robotic surgery in Raipur.
